Sign up now for CARS 2024 Winter Ham Radio classes, get your Technician, Thursday evenings starting February 29, 2024 and ending April 11, 2024 at 6:30 PM.

April 11th will be a special VE Test session for all license classes, ARRL fee for this VE test is $15.00

Classes will be held at the Seven Hills City Hall, 7325 Summit View Dr. Seven Hills, OH 44131 in room “C” at 6:30 PM every Thursday. The entrance is at the East end on the South side of building

General class ONLY is FREE to CARS members

All class materials are provided

  CARS conducts a weekly net at 9 PM on Wednesdays on our Cleveland-area repeater system. The net is open to all amateur radio operators in the area. The next net is January 10, 2024 and the net controller will be AC8TN.

• VE Session

  CARS hosts VE Sessions on the second Sunday of odd months at 9:15 AM at the Old Elmwood Recreation Center, 6200 Pete Wisnieski Pky, Independence, OH 44131. Anyone looking to obtain or upgrade their amateur radio license is welcome. The next VE Session is January 14, 2024.

• Board Meeting

  The board meeting schedule is set in January each year. All Club members are welcome to attend Board Meetings. Only Board Members and Officers are able to vote. A quorum of six voting members is required to pass any motions.

  The next board meeting is on March 21, 2024 at TBD.

  Field Day 2024 is the weekend of June 22-23. CARS is currently planning this event.
